The HDBW campus at the main Munich location is located in the east of the city - in the historically modern building complex of the Wappenhalle, the departure hall of the former Munich-Riem Airport. The Munich Trade Fair Messe München is located on the opposite side of the street.

If you come to HDBW campus by car as a student: free parking spaces can only be found in the early morning, if at all. At times of trade fairs, especially large trade fairs such as ISPO or BAUMA, public transport is definitely more advisable.
Find your way around in the HDBW Munich building complex
You can get to the HDBW via the entrance Konrad-Zuse-Platz 8-12 - the entrance with the green 'Konrad' lettering. Here you are in the Lobby East/Konrad East.
To the HDBW in the Wappenhalle, 3rd and 4th floor: lecture halls, student lounge, administration
From the Lobby East, go straight ahead through the hallway. Approximately in the middle of the corridor, on the left-hand side, there is a glass door leading out into the inner courtyard.
In the courtyard, take the entrance to the historic Wappenhalle on the left. In the Wappenhalle building, there is a lift on the right and left - both take you to the 3rd and 4th floor of the HDBW.
To the HDBW in the Lobby East, House I, 3rd floor: Seminar rooms
There is a lift in the Lobby East on the right-hand side - on the 3rd floor, follow the signs to the HDBW.
Or in the Lobby East through the corridor door straight ahead - either take the stairs to the 3rd floor or take the lift at the letter I to the 3rd floor.

Visit the HDBW campus in Munich-Riem - virtually. In the Corona summer semester 2020, everything was quiet and empty on the university campus, but you still get an impression of the rooms and the surroundings. Nowadays, the building is filled with student life again!
History on the side, in case you are wondering about the lettering 'Flughafen München' (=Munich Airport? in the video: Munich-Riem Airport was the international airport of Munich from 1939 until its closure on May 16, 1992.
The HDBW Munich campus is located on the 3rd floor of the historic Wappenhalle, the former terminal building. The listed monument hall itself is used for a wide variety of events.
The former red airport tower is also still standing - visible from afar on the opposite side of the street, it is now part of the company Brainlab AG as the Brainlab Tower.
