English-speaking Master's degree programmes in Digitisation

Overview: All Master’s degree programmes at HDBW
The HDBW offers 4 master’s degree programmes - on either as full-time or part-time basis in Munich. The first three programmes are taught entirely in English:
Digital Business Modeling and Entrepreneurship | Master of Arts (M.A.)
This master’s programme is taught entirely in English and focuses on how digitalisation changes business models. We look at technological aspects from the customers, management and process perspective.
Digital Factory and Operational Excellence | Master of Science (MSc.)
We deal with digital influences and methods for fundamental analyses and manufacturing organisation of production process, logistics and global supply chain management. The Lecture langguage currently German, but as of the 2023 summer term, this programme will also be completely in English.
Cyber Security | Master of Science (MSc.)
Qualification of IT security experts dealing with technological, management and legal challenges & solutions of the entire cyber landscape. Lectures are given entirely in English.
Digital Technologies | Master of Engineering (MEng.)
This master’s programme combines the most important digital technologies, concepts and methods with the economic knowledge to establish a digital start-up, develop a business plan and market products and services. The Lecture language is German.

HDBW Professor Carten Bartsch talks about one of the four HDBW master's - the international Business Administration master’s degree programme Digital Business Modelling and Entrepreneurship.
Developed by national and international experts from research and industry, this English-language Master of Arts focuses on how digitalisation changes business models. During your master's studies at HDBW, University of Applied Sciences in Munich, you will look at technological aspects from the customers, management and process perspective.

Completed bachelor’s degree with 210 ECTS, depending on chosen master's programme, in:

- 100% English (B2 Level) in Digital Business Modelling and Entrepreneurship / Cyber Security / Digital Factory and Operational Excellence
- German and partly English (B2 Level in both languages) in Digital Technologies
- € 790 monthly fee (full-time)
- € 480 monthly fee (part-time)

- Lectures from early October until late January
- Examination period generally until Mid-February
Duration Summer Semester
- 15 March until 30 September
- Lectures from Mid-March until early July
- Examination period generally until later July
- 14 March (Summer Semester) and 30 September (Winter Semester) for national and EU-applicants
- 15 December (Summer Semester) and 30 June (Winter Semester) for non-EU applicants. Why? Veryfying your application documents, visa processs etc. all take much longer!
- Apply via the online application form and attach the necessary documents or subsequently send the following :
- Cover letter
- Tabular CV
- Proof of English language competency; e.g. TOEFL, IELTS
- Original bachelor’s degree certificate, diploma and transcript of records as well as a certified German translation, if the original documents are neither in German nor in English
- Copy of identification card or passport
- For non-EU citizens: Visa and Residence permit - Interview with the course director (also possible via Skype)
- Once you have been accepted by HDBW, you will receive your study contract

We offer three types of bachelor's degree programmes: full-time studies, part-time studies, or dual track courses (a combination of on-the-job training and studies).
You obtain 210 ECTS with this bachelor’s degree. And you can focus on different subjects, dependent on the number of participants, within your major field of study:

Equivalent to the German “Abitur” – i.e. graduation from high school, A-levels.
100% German: B2 language level is required.
540 € monthly tuition fee for full-time and dual-track courses.
