Voices from HDBW Master's degree programmes

HDBW Alumni - Christoph Philippi
Christoph Philippi | Graduate Business Informatics (B.Sc.) & Cyber Security (M.Sc.)

"Through my dual study program in Business Informatics at HDBW, where I was able to apply theoretical knowledge directly in practice, the foundation for starting my own company was already laid. During my Master’s in Cyber Security, I developed innovative security solutions that are now crucial to the business model of my company, Flyingmovies GmbH. The hands-on approach at HDBW was a key factor in this success."

HDBW Unternehmenspartner - Stefan Vilsmeier, CEO und Gründer Brainlab
Stefan Vilsmeier | Founder and CEO of Brainlab AG

"As a forward-looking and innovative company, we offer students on the master's degree courses in Cyber Security and Digital Factory and Operational Excellence the opportunity to combine their theoretical knowledge with our practical company content. We benefit greatly from the input and fresh ideas of the HDBW students. At the same time, we see this as an investment in the long-term retention of the skilled workers we need in our company."

HDBW Professor Wolfgang Decker| Department of Industrial Engineering:

"Technical discipline, computer science and business administration must be networked in practice in order to develop viable solutions. That's why I was already involved in the development of the business administration master's programme at the HDBW in Munich during my time as Managing Director "Mobility" and "Internet of Things" at Accenture Digital Germany."

Alex Leung - HDBW Absolvent
Alex Leung | Graduate Digital Business Modeling and Entrepreneurship (M.A.)

"Despite my previous bachelor's and MBA degrees from international universities, I lacked a deeper understanding of the impact of digital technologies on businesses to found my startup. This is exactly what the HDBW Master Digital Business Modelling and Entrepreneurship helped me with."
